After buying 17 acres of rolling countryside south of Canton, Ohio in 1984, our dream of owning a log home finally became a reality in 2007. Our builder suggested we buy our logs from Hochstetler Milling, an Amish-owned company whose log homes he'd been building since 1999. I worked with Hochstetler's in-house designer to crate a plan that would suit our lifestyle, while Clayton worked outside, garding and contouring the site himself. We took our time throughout the process and the finished product is exactly what we envisioned... with quality throughout.
Carrie and I researched log homes for 3 years before finally reaching our decision. While walking through several log home shows and talking to suppliers, one comapny stood out from the rest - Hochstetler Milling. They had a reputation for providing top quality materials for a reasonable price. And, after envisioning how the Pleasant Hill model would offer an outstanding view of the scenic landscape, especially from the full-length rear deck... we were sold.
Hochstetler Log Homes was absolutely fabulous to work with in all phases, “Of the sales, design and delivery process”. All of the Log Cabin materials were of very high quality. Our cabin is beautiful and will be in our family the next 100+ years.
Honest, fair, and great people to work with. Thank you for our Dream Home!!! We would recommend you to anyone.
Hochstetler Log Homes is honest and straight forward about what is involved in buying a log home! We had looked at log home magazines, attended log home shows, toured models and even met with other companies over the past 10 years. It was like we walked in our home when we walked in the front door of the Hochstetler model!
Hochstetler Log Home’s staff was friendly, courteous, and prompt in responding, professional, very willing to work with our uncertainties and unfamiliarity with such a process.
Hochstetler Log Homes, you are very wonderful. It’s taken 25 years to get it here but it’s worth every day of waiting. It is very emotional to see it finally come together.
Hochstetler Log Homes was absolutely fabulous to work with in all phases of sales, design and delivery process. All log cabin materials were of very high quality. Our cabin is beautiful and will be in our family for the next 100 plus years.
We love our home. The sales person was great to work with from the very beginning. He listened to our ideas, plans, expectations, limitations and the need for a quick build time. We pretty much had designed our home and needed a professional to finalize and put it to scale in less than 6 months. Our builder gave us good reviews of Hochstetler too, which means a lot when making a big investment.
We now have a beautiful, well-built log home, to hopefully enjoy for the rest of our lives. It has taken a lot of money, time and our own labor to get to this point. But it was worth it all! The people at Hochstetler are as high quality as the homes they sell. The whole process was a tremendous undertaking, but the people at Hochstetler never let us down.
While we found out building a log home can be a very stressful thing. We always appreciated the professionalism and service we received from Hochstetler Log Homes. Especially Joe and our design consultant. We will certainly recommend them to anyone who is interested in building a log home, and we already have.
We had to choose between a conventional plastic house versus a log home. We of course chose the log home. Levi, was always friendly and helpful if he was at the Blackfork when we visited. Our Design Consultant was so easy to talk to and entertaining! Also when we had a concern or needed to change something he got on the phone and got it resolved or taken care of. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. We both loved Mary, she was so friendly and sweet and made us coffee every time we came to hang out.
